So after a few days of relaxation and chill time between week one and week 2, our second group arrived LATE last night at around 11pm. Only 7 hours after we were expecting them haha. So we welcomed them, registered them, and sent them to bed. Today we had our opening rally and introduced them to all of the staff and Mission Adventures. I like this group. They are 29 people from a church in Oregon and I can tell they are all really excited for this week and on fire for God. Today we took them out to the beach for some team building type games and then told them we were gonna take their picture at the base. Then when they were all lined up we started pouring buckets of water on them and throwing water balloons at them from the upper levels haha. Now here I am with about an hour break till we meet again :D
Ok....So I have some pretty amazing things to share with yall. Us staff at the YWAM Ensenada base spend alot of time praying and enterceding for each other, the students that will be arriving, our ministries, the city, you name it we pray for it haha. Well during our group prayer times for Mission Adventures while we wait for God to speak, he does. In amazing ways. Before week one he gave certain staff names of students we would eventually encounter. Some came to pass, and some we're still waiting on. Guys, its amazing. I mean such specific names God is giving us. Like Zac...with just the c, and Anthony, who was questioning his beleif in God's existance. (A boy in my group from last week I got to talk to and pray with as God revealed to him who he really was and rocked the socks off of Anthony's world) We pray, we listen, God speaks, and we see in the flesh the names he gave us who are struggling with exactly God told us. This week there are 2 people with names we got in our times of intercession. Hopefully these are the people God told us about earlier who's lives are going to change in such amazing ways this week! Im so incredibly lucky to be a part of this and am so blessed everyday as I see so many people bless others in the name of Jesus and have their own lives changed forever with just this one week of serving in the mission field of Ensenada, Mexico. Just wanted to share that with yall :)
