So after a few days of relaxation and chill time between week one and week 2, our second group arrived LATE last night at around 11pm. Only 7 hours after we were expecting them haha. So we welcomed them, registered them, and sent them to bed. Today we had our opening rally and introduced them to all of the staff and Mission Adventures. I like this group. They are 29 people from a church in Oregon and I can tell they are all really excited for this week and on fire for God. Today we took them out to the beach for some team building type games and then told them we were gonna take their picture at the base. Then when they were all lined up we started pouring buckets of water on them and throwing water balloons at them from the upper levels haha. Now here I am with about an hour break till we meet again :D
Ok....So I have some pretty amazing things to share with yall. Us staff at the YWAM Ensenada base spend alot of time praying and enterceding for each other, the students that will be arriving, our ministries, the city, you name it we pray for it haha. Well during our group prayer times for Mission Adventures while we wait for God to speak, he does. In amazing ways. Before week one he gave certain staff names of students we would eventually encounter. Some came to pass, and some we're still waiting on. Guys, its amazing. I mean such specific names God is giving us. Like Zac...with just the c, and Anthony, who was questioning his beleif in God's existance. (A boy in my group from last week I got to talk to and pray with as God revealed to him who he really was and rocked the socks off of Anthony's world) We pray, we listen, God speaks, and we see in the flesh the names he gave us who are struggling with exactly God told us. This week there are 2 people with names we got in our times of intercession. Hopefully these are the people God told us about earlier who's lives are going to change in such amazing ways this week! Im so incredibly lucky to be a part of this and am so blessed everyday as I see so many people bless others in the name of Jesus and have their own lives changed forever with just this one week of serving in the mission field of Ensenada, Mexico. Just wanted to share that with yall :)
After graduating from a Descipleship Training School with YWAM in Ensenada, Mexico on February 2011, I stayed in Ensenada to help run a mission trip camp called Mission Adventures. The spring was amazing. Many kids' lives were changed, many houses were raised for families here in Ensenada, and the people of the city got to feel the love of God through our acts of love. Here's a place to track my journey and what God is doing here through us in YWAM, Ensenada!

week one
wow...what an amazing week. 8 days ago on the 20th, 51 people from Washington, California, Montana, Ohio arrived in San Diego ready to come down and serve for a week here in Ensenada and left yesterday after a life changing week. I lead
a team of 10 amazing students from a youth group in Ohio through a week of outreach and ministry throughout the city. I was so incredibly blessed to see these kids serve others and be a tangible expression of Jesus' love at orphanages, colonias, churches, and at the base interacting with the other students. I got to talk to all of them about their experience throughout the week and every single one of them left different with their lives changed in some way. Some received healing for the first time in their lives as they were able to forgive, one heard the voice of God for the first time, one considered himself born again in his faith, and all of them learned more about themselves, God, and the world. They also touched so many peoples' lives in the city, mainly children, during their outreach. They shared the gospel and made God known to kids at an orphanage, a part of a neighborhood, and through daily programs at a church we worked with for 3 days. It was so great. Apart from my Ohio group, there were 3 other youth groups as well as one family that came down to serve! The other 2 youth groups and the family shared the gospel and did lots of physical labor with other local ministries just like my group. The other youth group from Montana built a house for a family in need and changed their lives forever. All glory be to God for the work done through these kids and adult leaders alike, and a special thanks for these people that were willing to surrender themselves for a week to bring the kingdom of Heaven down to Earth. God also reminded me to everyday die to myself and keep seeking him and his heart for the people I would meet everyday and for his vision for the ministry we would be doing that day. To be obedient and step aside and let God work through us. Man it was such a great week and im sad it had to end. Oh well...this will happen almost every week till the end of August! Pictures to be posted soon :D yay!

Well hopefully I will actually be able to keep this thing updated unlike to one from my DTS haha. Well for those of you who don't know about me I've been living in Mexico since September 2010 working with YWAM. I've done a DTS and now staff a camp called mission adventures (which you'll find out what it's all about if you keep up with me!) God's using me to really impact some people's lives forever and to bring Heaven down to Earth every day. Its a pretty great job with an even better boss haha. Well right now the staff here is going through a training and preparation time getting ready for teams of youth from different parts of the world to come and do mission work with us here in Ensenada. On Monday the 20th our first teams come down to start the summer cycles. We will have new teams every week for the next 3 months! So. Much. To. Do. haha. I'm so ready for them to get down here and for God to use them to do some pretty amazing things. Well...ill keep yall updated on whats going on down here and share with you what God is doing in these peoples' lives as well as my own. Thanks for reading! one love
